Schools are systems of interconnected, interdependent relationships between people, place and mission.

You fell in love with being in the presence of children and protecting childhood. You wanted to create a world where families, children, and the people who care for them come together to co-create a place where children are seen, heard, believed, and loved.

Abstract geometric design with overlapping semi-transparent circles in yellow, orange, and cream colors.

And yet, the realities of motivating, hiring, and retaining faculty, facilitating change, fostering family engagement, and a constant stream of challenges, can make it easy to lose sight of what matters—the children.

Your school is at a point of organizational crisis, growth, or strategic planning, and you want skilled, compassionate support to help you get clear on next steps.

You are looking for tools, resources, and strategies to root you more deeply in your school's mission and values while helping you, the school guide, and protector, remain the inspired and inspirational leader you set out to be.

Together we will identify points of tension, or areas of misalignment, and make your values and mission visible, audible, and clear.

From strategic planning, teacher training and retention, community engagement, to change and crisis management, I will help you dissect what is not working, or needs to grow, and reconnect you to your strengths and vision for yourself and your school.

What’s Possible

Ways We Can Work Together

1:1 Leadership Coaching

I will support you in aligning your practice to philosophy, communication to compassion, and turning your mission into motivation, and your strategies to known, trusted, and inspiring systems.

Together, we will develop a dignity-centered, responsive, mindful approach to your work.

We can co-design a coaching framework for any of the following:

  • Values Visibility Assessment

  • School Environment Mission Alignment

  • Strategic Planning

  • Organizational Growth

  • Crisis Management

  • Admissions and Enrollment Assessment

  • Curriculum Design and Implementation

Professional Development

You are looking to offer your teachers a start-of-year boost, professional growth, and strategies to support their interactions, curriculum, or environmental design.

All professional development offerings will support the school’s mission and values.

You may choose from a broad selection of predesigned workshops or assessments, or we can co-design professional development opportunities tailored to the school as a whole or to the needs of a particular classroom.

Our work will be rooted in responsive, respectful, reflective practice. These are a few of the ways I can support you and your educators:

  • Hands-on, Actionable Teacher Workshops

  • Environmental Assessment

  • Curriculum Design

  • Classroom Observation and Assessment

Parent Workshops

I facilitate reflective, strategy-rich workshops for families that offer questions to ask, resources, and processes to put into practice. Parents walk away feeling less alone and more equipped to handle what comes their way.

As workshop participants dive into each topic and share stories about their beliefs and values, a community is cultivated—promoting attachment to one another and to the school.

Workshops can be co-designed to meet your specific school-to-parent needs, or you may choose from a selection of pre-designed workshops, for example:

  • Raising a Sensitive Child

  • Reading Clues and Knowing Your Cue

  • Making Values Visible

  • Cultivating Critical Thinking and Creativity

  • Little Bodies, Big Feelings

  • “Darcy’s workshop was transformative for our team of 80 educators. Grounded in the Reggio Emilia approach, she brought theory to life with stories and practical tools, reminding us that it’s about the why. We left inspired and better equipped to nurture children’s ideas with intention and joy.”

I always leave with new insights, renewed curiosity, and a deeper understanding of my practice. Any chance to learn with Darcy is a gift—I walk away a better educator and a more thoughtful human being.”
